Not necessarily and eat out of the jar type of spread. But with some doctoring up it can make a great number of things that could add that extra bit of fall to any meal or dessert.
I love Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter, and Iโm not the only one โ it flies off the shelves so fast, by Thanksgiving, you can’t find it. There’s no doubt it would be a big seller year around if it was available.
I was very excited when I saw Trader Joeโs Pumpkin Spread but it is a totally different beast. and beastly it is. The texture is unpleasant – closer to a jelly so thereโs nothing pumpkiny about it. Itโs overly sweet and the spice level is barely detectable.
I’m baffled, – why offer an inferior product when you know how to make a really excellent one that could be enjoyed 12 months of the year?
